Dustin Mattiza, AIA
Principal - President
Dustin is responsible for managing the development and design process for Avail focused primarily in Austin, San Antonio, Denver, D.C., Florida and Atlanta. Over the past 13 years, Dustin has been specializing in ground up multifamily developments partnering with institutional equity partners such as Divco West, PGIM, National Capital & Property Advisors (NCPA), Iron Point, Argosy, Sweid+Sweid, and Crowdstreet, developing a range of product types from a 66 level mixed use tower, mid-rise wraps and podiums, garden style, build-to-rent single family, and hotel conversions. As the Executive Vice President at Presidium, Dustin managed the development of over 1,300 units and another 661 units at Kairoi Residential, totaling over 3 Million GSF and $2 Billion in AUM. Dustin also held positions in design and construction administration, delivering over 2 million square feet of various commercial project types at Gensler.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas State University, a Master of Architecture from Texas A&M University, and is a licensed Architect. Dustin most recently was awarded the AIA Honor Award and has been published in the New York Times and Interior Design Magazine. Dustin previously served as the Board Chair of the Creative Arts Center of Dallas and as a grant panelist for the Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, getting outdoors, playing golf, and supporting the arts.
