Dustin Mattiza, AIA

Managing Principal - CEO

Dustin oversees the full life cycle of development and design for Avail, with a primary focus on Austin, San Antonio, Denver, D.C., Florida, and Atlanta. With over 13 years of experience in ground-up multifamily development, he has partnered with institutional equity firms such as DivcoWest, PGIM, National Capital & Property Advisors (NCPA), Iron Point, Argosy, Sweid+Sweid, and CrowdStreet. His expertise spans a diverse range of product types, including a 66-story mixed-use tower, mid-rise wraps and podiums, garden-style communities, build-to-rent single-family developments, and hotel conversions.

As Executive Vice President at Presidium, Dustin managed the development of over 1,300 units, with an additional 661 units at Kairoi Residential, totaling more than 3 million square feet and $2 billion in assets under management. His background also includes roles in design and construction administration, where he delivered over 2 million square feet of commercial projects at Gensler.

Dustin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas State University and a Master of Architecture from Texas A&M University. He is a licensed architect and was most recently honored with the AIA Honor Award. His work has been featured in The New York Times and Interior Design Magazine.

 

Jaxon Willis

Principal - CIO

Serving as Chief Investment Officer, Jaxon has worked in real estate since 2012 and has overseen Class A investments, capital improvement, and renovation projects that deliver the highest standards of workmanship, while ensuring adherence to budgets, project plans, and specifications. He possesses expertise in acquisition and dispositions of real estate, due diligence, scopes of work, & tracking progress for small and large-scale capital projects.

In addition, in prior positions, Jaxon served in management and leadership positions at Avenue5 Residential, Central Renovation Solutions, JJD Contracting, and CAMP Construction Services.
